Wallasey Warden Service.

C1944 32pg, card covered contemporary account of the Warden's service in Wallasey between 1938 and 1944. Illustrated throughout with b/w photographs and covering subjects from the inception of the Warden Service through shelters, messenger service, fire guards etc. Includes a roll of honour and a diary and accounts of various incidents through out the war. Better than a reading copy but has sellotape reinforcement to card covers, various underlinings and notations and various creases, tears and marks. Interesting and uncommon.
