London Heavy Rescue Insignia Grouping.

Grouping of insignia to a Heavy Rescue Service Clerk of Works. Comprising an embroidered London Rescue bluette breast badge, a pair of embroidered gold on blue Heavy Rescue shoulder titles and finally a pair of multi-piece construction rank badges, all for probable wear on overalls. This set is quite evocative being dusty and worn with clear evidence of having been removed from a well used overall. The Heavy Rescue squads were responsible for rescuing trapped casualties, the shoring up and demolishing of dangerous structures and were one of the busier CD services during the Blitz and the later ' V ' weapon campaigns.
