WW2 Plasfort Helmet with Helmet Carrier
WW2 ' Plasfort ' helmet with cloth skeleton carrier. The Plasfort was a commercially produced helmet made from an early plastic resin similar to Paxolin in an attempt to produce a viable helmet which did not use valuable war materials. These were bought by some local authorities and by private individuals and were commonly to be found amongst first aid personnel. The commercially produced cloth skeleton carriers were popular amongst Civil Defence personnel for ease of carrying the helmet when not being worn. Both items in excellent, clean condition,helmet liner size approx. 6 7/8.
