Evocative wartime souvenir acquired from a house clearance contact. This piece of parachute material was found with similar offcuts in the sewing basket of a now deceased old lady. This offcut, probably American in origin as it is made of Rayon, shows residual evidence of the strengthened seams and residual risers. Also visible is the evidence of carefully unpicked seams.
