61cms x 31cms approx, double-sided, enamel SHELTER sign. Manufactured by ' Chromo ' Wolverhampton. The Chromographic Enamel Company, Ltd., Dudley Road, Wolverhampton was a large producer of vitreous enamel products that specialised in signs, they ceased trading in the 1960's. This example was recently recovered during building works. Having all the usual edge knocks, scuffs etc. the sign has been sympathetically tidied. Heavy item.
