Bi-colour, letter press poster issued by the Ministry of War Transport warning of the waste of water at canal locks and advising the use of side ponds. The loss of water from the canals would restrict the loads carried by the barges. Canals enjoyed a resurgence during the War as every mode of transport was exploited for the war effort. Canal memorabilia from the war is scarce. In good, overall condition with some minor edge chips and corner damage.
