Bears printed ' Warden ' shoulder titles , embroidered CD breast badge and an area title for Prestwich, Manchester .Good original blouse with original insignia in generally ,excellent, clean condition with two small areas of damage to r/h sleeve.  read more

WVS Civil Defence Home Canned labels.

In order to promote the preservation of fruit and vegetables the M.O.F. looked for new ways to preserve fruit and other produce and organised professional canning. Using the existing WVS food demonstrators and harnessing the W.I. canning machines were lent to specific centres where batches of fruit and veg were prepared and canned and these labels were produced for this purpose.

LDV Armband.

Official issue ' armlet ' for issue to the Local Defence Volunteers. Printed on khaki, this pattern of armband was issued from May 1940 to be worn on the right arm in lieu of uniform. The intially slow delivery was made up for by a multiplicity of home made versions.

Large Wartime packet of Rinso washing powder. Economy packet with two colour printing directly onto cardboard. Packet has waste paper collection slogan to one end with the reverse printed with ' wartime directions for using Rinso '.
