Auxiliary Bus Conductor's ( Clippies ) Armband.
Cotton embroidered armband for an ' Auxiliary Conductor ' with Brighton Corporation Transport. The auxiliary conductors were usually women brought in as ' clippies ' to man the buses and trams in the absence of men who had been called up.
