1941 board game given away by the makers of Benedict Peas as a marketing tool. Broadly based on ' snakes and ladders ' the game features the journey of the humble pea from field to shop with such hazards as bomb craters, being turned back by the Home Guard and tank traps to catch the unwary player. The AAGB was a gift to the UK from the American community in the UK providing a fleet of ambulances and vehicles for use by surgical and medical teams. Chrome and enamel lapel badge ' EOF - Front Line Duty ' with pinback fitting to reverse. This badge is believed to be worn by members of staff of Elstow Ordnance Factory in Bedfordshire, ROF 16, which was engaged in shell filling under the management of J.Lyons of cornerhouse fame. Woollen forage cap in the form of a field service cap for wear by an officer of the Girls Training Corps. Featuring nickelled plain buttons and a gilt and enamel GTC cap badge by Fattorini, B'ham with a dark blue woollen body with full lining and cotton sweatband. WLA Area Shoulder title.
Embroidered cotton and wool area shoulder title for the WLA for the area of Carmarthenshire . These titles were intended for wear on the short coat and and were unofficially seen in the later stages of the War. Good, used condition with a couple of small moth nips. read more
