150mm x 40mm approx. slightly curved, enamel sign indicating the presence of a stirrup pump. The ubiquitous stirrup pump was the first line of defence in fighting incendiaries and the fires they started and were to be found throughout public buildings, this sign indicated where one could be found. This 20pg pamphlet deals with everything from ear plugs to anti-gas curtains but more interestingly deals with the introduction of the exploding incendiary with accompanying sketch. 20mm chrome and enamel, pinback lapel badge for British workers in the American Red Cross. This badge was worn by paid and volunteer workers for the ARC in the various clubs that were established around the UK to provide comforts and welfare to US servicemen.
