Silver ARP badge in original card box of issue. Variation of the more commonly encountered box being smaller at 55mm x 45mm. Badge with man's horseshoe lapel fitting in bright unissued condition, with it's greaseproof packet. 1939 London hallmarks. Anderson Shelter Spanner.
A difficult to find shelter accessory , the rat-tailed, rough cast spanner supplied with the Anderson shelter in kit form. One end of the spanner was used as a jemmy to align the holes in the shelter before insertion of the bolts. This particular example in good, used condition with size and manufacturer markings to body. read more

Official issue ' armlet ' for issue to the Local Defence Volunteers. Printed on khaki, this pattern of armband was issued from May 1940 to be worn on the right arm in lieu of uniform. The intially slow delivery was made up for by a multiplicity of home made versions.
This example in good, used condition, has been stored folded. read more

Gilt and enamel, pinback Red Cross & St John's Penny a Week Fund Badge. The fund raised funds for the two organisations, who joined forces during the War, to embark on their wartime tasks. This badge was probably worn by members of the organising committees . Good, clean and bright condition. read more
