Norwich Incendiary Souvenirs.
Whilst I cannot unconditionally guarantee that this grouping of incendiary fins and partial bomb originate from the Baedeker raids on Norwich in April and May 1942, there is a good probability they are. 1939 dated MkII helmet for a member of a First Aid Party or Post. Shell marked J.S.S. indicating manufacture by Joseph Sankey & Sons in 1939 with a size, 7, MkI liner by Helmets Ltd similarly dated 1939. In generally good, overall condition, the top half of the helmet suffers from some ' corrosion acne ' and would probably benefit from a little sympathetic cleaning. read more
