LDV Armband.

Official issue ' armlet ' for issue to the Local Defence Volunteers. Printed on khaki, this pattern of armband was issued from May 1940 to be worn on the right arm in lieu of uniform. The intially slow delivery was made up for by a multiplicity of home made versions.

1941 board game given away by the makers of Benedict Peas as a marketing tool. Broadly based on ' snakes and ladders ' the game features the journey of the humble pea from field to shop with such hazards as bomb craters, being turned back by the Home Guard and tank traps to catch the unwary player. In good used conditions with some creasing , rubbing and bumped corners, colourful and unusual.  read more

Wartime Motor Spirit ration book issued to a motorcycle registered ' KML 767 '. Initially, petrol was rationed for private motoring, but by 1942, all private use was banned. Rationing continued for essential services like doctors and farmers, with the fuel often dyed to prevent misuse.
