Printed cotton G.I.O. shoulder title for use by Gas Identification Officers of the Civil Defence services. Introduced in 1944 to indicate the specialist qualification of GIO who were to indicate the ' Designation and Identification of War Gases '. An uncommon title and in good condition with some glue residue to reverse where previously mounted. read more

A roll of new old stock ' Presto ' Blackout Paper designed for use in covering windows in order to conform with wartime blackout regulations. Good, overall condition with slightly tatty ends. read more

Scarce pamphlet issued by the British Union Fascists outlining it's position on Britain's ARP provision. Couched in a thinly veiled anti-semitic attack on Leslie Hore-Belisha the British secretary of state for war (1937– 40) and the apparent lack of preparedness in the defence against air attack.
