Original enamel sign for use to indicate the location of a ' Public Shelter '. This example is ' characterful ' with areas of ' mothing and nibbling ' from corrosion but leaving the lettering largely unaffected. This example, on its original card, is probably unissued as there are no names engraved to the reverse. The CD clasp is one of the more scarce of the BRCS awards for this medal. Home Guard Post Office Battalion helmet.

1941 dated MKII 3 helmet worn by a member of the Post Office Home Guard. Khaki painted with stencilled ' GPO ' to the front. Manufacturer marked and dated by Briggs Motor Bodies with a size 7 liner by the same manufacturer. Three holes drilled to either side of the rim indicating the lower standard of ballistic protection offered by this mark of helmet. Good, used condition.  read more
