Embroidered, cotton on felt armband for the Womens Land Army. This is the basic armband worn on joining, further service with the WLA indicated by the addition of diamonds indicating six months service, in this case, 1 years service is shown. Chrome and enamel lapel badge worn by workers of Fairey Aviation Co.Ltd. at their Hayes factory. Featuring a stylistic design this pin back badge features the maker's details ' Thomas Fattorini Regent St Birmingham '. Fattorini were the principle suppliers of these identity badges and were the first to suggest this system of identification of war workers. Excellent, bright condition. read more
