' Sleeve, Belt, Web, HG pattern '.
Unique to the Home Guard, this webbing loop had two buckles attached which provided the fastening for the supporting braces for the pouches. The sleeve was then slid over the HG pattern leather belt which was narrower than the standard '37 pattern belt - hence the need for the sleeve. Maker marked but indistinct with a 1943 date to the reverse and in excellent, used condition. Scarce. read more

Women's Insititute Fruit Preservation tin and celluloid button badge. Very good condition, complete with original pin fitting - 22mm, colours remain bright, minor marking to reverse.
During the War fruit preservation was encouraged within the Women's Institute's across the country, even making use of wild fruits and berries. Their efforts were rewarded with the issue of a badge. read more
Airspeed ARP Lapel badge.
Chrome and enamel lapel badge for members of ARP teams of Airspeed Ltd. Airspeed Ltd. was founded by Nevil Shute Norway (later to become a novelist as Nevil Shute) and designer Hessell Tiltman and became a subsidiary of de Havilland in 1940. Airspeed were to become famous for designing and building the Horsa glider.
