MkII helmet worn by a member of Civil Defence teams of an unidentified company ' RIS '.1940 dated helmet by Briggs Motor Bodies with a 1940 dated, size 6 3/4 MkII liner by the Teddy Toy Company. ' RIS ' prominently spray stencilled to the front of the helmet with 85% of the original paintwork intact. Good example of a factory helmet. read more

Featuring some graphic art work the wheel was rotated to reveal the identity of an aircraft and by turning it over the planforms of said aircraft were revealed. Silver and enamel, pinback badge for a member of the Civil Nursing Reserve. The CNR was recruited initially to augment staff at hospitals during war but was later extended to provide staff for FAPs in shelters and rest centres. Maker marked ' W.J.D. B'ham ' and ' Sterling Silver ' and contained in it's original titled box. read more

Embroidered cotton on wool WVS armband. Introduced in 1943 for members of the WVS not in possession of uniform who were engaged on work where 'recognition of status is desirable'. This example has the addition of three printed war service chevrons sewn on. In excellent, used condition with one very small moth nip to the reverse. read more
