Home Guard slip-on shoulder titles.
A good,original, matched pair of worn, Home Guard slip-on shoulder titles. Embroidered cotton on wool, these titles were unofficial and were based on the design adopted by the Regular Army and were probably sourced locally. Apparently in widespread use by 1941 these examples are in excellent,used condition with some very minor moth grazing.

1942 dated ' Tunic Pattern ARP 71 ' - Women's ARP four pocket tunic. Size 14 for 5'6" - 5'8" height, 36-37ins bust and 28ins-29ins waist. The tunic sports a number of minor alterations with contemporaneously changed buttons, the addition of snap closures to ensure a smooth appearance to the front of the tunic and belt, and the addition of a fob pocket. An excellent example of the patten of helmet worn by the police during WW2 featuring blackened fittings and helmet plate. The king's crown plate is for Nottinghamshire Constabulary.
