Celluloid and tin pinback badge for the Emergency Relief Organisation. This was the name for most of the post-raid services including rest centres and air raid welfare in Scotland. From December 1940 the various post-raid organisations were brought under the ERO banner and badges issued. In good overall condition with some fading. read more
Growmore Bulletin No.2 Pests & Diseases.
Started in 1940, the Growmore Campaign was one of the first practical responses to the growing need for food made evident by wartime demands. The campaign continued alongside the Dig for Victory campaign and this 1942 leaflet is evidence of this dealing with the pests and diseases likely to be encountered in the vegetable garden and giving advice on recognition and elimination of these blights.... read more
