These rounds are all 1929 dated and made by the Frankford Arsenal in Philadelphia as denoted by the ' FA ' headstamp. Uncommon example of the woollen grey/blue sidecar worn by members of the Air Defence Cadet Corps.
The ADCC, planned by Air Commodore Chamier was formed in 1938 with a view to prepare cadets for joining the RAF or the Fleet Air Arm. The Corps were eventually subsumed by the ATC in 1941.
