US .30.06 Home Guard Ammunition.
A stripper clip of 5 x .30.06 rounds for use in the US supplied P.17 rifles used by the Home Guard. These rounds are all 1929 dated and made by the Frankford Arsenal in Philadelphia as denoted by the ' FA ' headstamp. Air Defence Cadet Corps Sidecap.
Uncommon example of the woollen grey/blue sidecar worn by members of the Air Defence Cadet Corps.
The ADCC, planned by Air Commodore Chamier was formed in 1938 with a view to prepare cadets for joining the RAF or the Fleet Air Arm. The Corps were eventually subsumed by the ATC in 1941.
Cap has a chrome and enamel, lugged ADCC badge to the crown and chrome ADCC buttons to the peak.... read more
