Gas-mask container in the form of a biscuit tin produced by Reads Ltd. of Liverpool. Originally Reads produced these tins for for Elkes Biscuits whose name was impressed in the bottom of the lid. Presumably either having ceased the contract or for reasons of economy this was stopped and this particular example has no name . BSA Tools were part of the larger and famous Birmingham Small Arms Company Limited (BSA). BSA Tools were makers of machine tools much of which were involved in aircraft manufacture during the war.
