National Flour bag. - variation.
Paper bag for National Flour. National Flour was a blend of flour introduced by the rationing system ensuring that flour was produced to a national standard with a far higher level of wheatgerm than normal. As a result the blend was not as fine as with pre-war standards and retailers were keen to point this out noting it on bags and advertising.

A scarce, original WW2 period civilian pilot's Air Transport Auxiliary silver badge. Oval oak wreath surmounted by an eagle, "ATA" to the centre , with Latin motto scroll "Aetheris Avidi" (Eager for the air) the reverse impressed with official issue number "D1067".
