US .30.06 Home Guard Ammunition.
A stripper clip of 5 x .30.06 rounds for use in the US supplied P.17 rifles used by the Home Guard. These rounds are all 1930/31 dated and made by the Frankford Arsenal in Philadelphia as denoted by the ' FA ' headstamp. Whilst I cannot unconditionally guarantee that this grouping of incendiary fins and partial bomb originate from the Baedeker raids on Norwich in April and May 1942, there is a good probability they are. First Aid Post/Party Helmet.
1939 dated MkII helmet for a member of a First Aid Party or Post. Shell marked J.S.S. indicating manufacture by Joseph Sankey & Sons in 1939 with a size, 7, MkI liner by Helmets Ltd similarly dated 1939. In generally good, overall condition, the top half of the helmet suffers from some ' corrosion acne ' and would probably benefit from a little sympathetic cleaning. read more
