Printed, Wartime economy badge for those Observers who passed the annual aircraft recognition test. Introduced in December 1943 the badge was worn on the upper left sleeve. Uncommon in it's printed form. read more

Certificate of Home Guard Proficiency and a Home Guard Service Certificate to L/Sgt.H.Collier of E Company 5th Lancs ( Preston County ) Battalion Home Guard. The Proficiency certificate shows Collier to have passed tests for Rifle, Sten, Grenade, Battlecraft, Map reading and general knowledge in October 1943. Enamel First Aid Post Sign.
61cms x 31cms approx, double-sided, enamel F.A.P. First Aid Post sign. Good, overall condition with the usual nibbles to the enamel to the edges and other minor damage. A green rust proofing compound appears to have been applied to the nibbles and dings which appears to be removable, otherwise a good, presentable example. read more

Home made, pin back Spitfire badge. These badges were often made from coins, cut, folded and polished with a safety pin soldered to the reverse. Sometimes sold in aid of war weapons weeks or simply worn as a patriotic keepsake. Good, clean condition.

Broadly based on ' snakes and ladders ' the game features the journey of the humble pea from field to shop with such hazards as bomb craters, being turned back by the Home Guard and tank traps to catch the unwary player.
