Chrome and enamel pinback badge for Women's Voluntary Services ARP. This badge was announced in 1938 issued for WVS volunteers who had undertaken ARP training, it was quickly superceded the following year by a new design. Designed as a lapel badge it is commonly seen as a hat badge.

Early WVS armband in unfinished state. This style of armband was introduced in the summer of 1940 as a standard pattern for the WVS with a 100,000 being made by a London company. This example is in an unfinished state with the cotton armband overlayed on some linen as a stiffener but not yet stitched together, otherwise excellent. read more
