A chromed struck, crowned wreath containing the enamelled letters ' CAG '. Intended for wear in the CAG FS style cap, the badge was introduced shortly after the formation of the CAG in 1938. The CAG was formed to expand pilot training in response to building up the RAF reserve.

1941 dated MKII/ 3 NFS helmet marked for No.9 Fire Force. No.9 had it's headquarters in Leicester and covered Leicestershire and Northamptonshire.Helmet manufacturer marked, JS&S for Joseph Sankey of Bilston with a 1941 dated, size 7, MKII liner. Some paint loss to top of helmet with good ,clear undamaged decals. Individual number both painted and scratched onto the rim with minor corrosion. read more
