15 x 9cms Home Guard patch printed on cotton. These were on issue from August 1940 intially to avoid the waste of exsisting LDV armlets by the simple expedient of sowing the patch over the LDV lettering. The patch was also worn on the denim uniform. Patch in good clean condition with clear evidence of having been removed from a uniform. read more

Early War Head Warden's Helmet.
White painted, 1939 dated MkII helmet featuring the early diamond rank markings for a Head Warden. These rank markings were made obsolete by a Home Office Security Directive in 1942 in favour of the adoption of standardisation around the stripe system as used by the London Scheme.
