Home made, pin back Spitfire badge. These badges were often made from a Penny, cut, folded and polished with a safety pin soldered to the reverse. Sometimes sold in aid of war weapons weeks or simply worn as a patriotic keepsake. Good, clean condition and well made, examples are becoming increasingly scarce. read more
Fire Axe and cloth carrier.
Chromed fire Axe contained in a scarce light canvas carrier. These carriers are often associated with the AFS and Fire Guard and copies abound. This original example has rust stains and a full length shoulder strap which has some light damage. Axe is ownership marked to the handle ' Hill '. read more

Comic Postcard featuring the work of Brian White ( born 1902; died 1984 ) who was a British cartoonist, creating 'The Nipper' for the Daily Mail between 1933 and 1947. This card published by Valentines features one of his trademark children and an ARP shelter. Postally unused but with a few mark, bumps , creases etc.
