Silver gilt and enamel lapel badge for the Ulster Home Guard for wear in civilian clothes. Some sources suggest that this is official issue, weight being given to this arguement by an issue number to the reverse. This box contained a roll of formed lead strips to be applied to windows to mitigate the effects of blast damage. This particular example contains partial contents with a roll of the strips. Originally the box would have contained another roll of strips, two tins of adhesive and an instruction sheet, now missing. Box with some creasing and minor damage. Good, display item.  read more
