The Housewives Service were members of the WVS who were unable to leave home because of domestic commitments but were trained to help the Civil Defence services in their locality. In good, used condition with light surface abrasion. read more

SFP Armband with Fire Guard Overlay.
Printed cotton ' SFP ' armband for use by Supplementary/Street Fire Parties as issued from August 1940. The reorganisation and subseqent renaming of the Fire Guard in 1941 caused the issue of another armlet, in the interests of economy, a printed overlay was issued for stitching over the original symbol. In good used condition with seams lifted allowing viewing of the original armband. read more
